    Talking Woo hoo!

I just scored a new (old) kit on ebay.

It's an early 70s sparkling blue pearl Slingerland "Gene Krupa" kit

13", 16", 18" and 24". It looks clean in the listing, I can't wait to get it home!

    And yes, I'll post pictures!

Gene Krupa is in the house...

Okay, Gene's not as he died nearly forty years ago, but the blue sparkle Slingerland kit in Krupa sizes is here.

I can't load photos into this computer, but I'll figure out how to get something for you to see as soon as I can.

The drums are in good condition. The wrap is fade free and the chrome is unpitted on all of the drums.

The 13" tom is nice and clean, it has a new Remo Ambassador batter and the original resonant head.

The 16" floor tom has original heads top and bottom and looks virtually unplayed. It does have very light lifting at the seam.

The 18" floor tom is super clean but has lightweight generic resonant heads top and bottom. All of the washers are missing on this drum as well, but the tension rods look original.

The bass is clean and perfect. It has the original logo resonant head and an older "Evans Heavy Rock" head on the batter.

All told, it's a great score. I do intend on switching it back to the single tom mount. I'll put new heads on it and it will look and sound like it's 1973 in my house every day.

    Life is good.

I'll get pics when I can, but the link will show you the ebay listing for now.
