Default Shops to visit as I travel...

I always try to visit drum shops and music stores as I travel. Last year I made it to Chicago and visited Andy's house of music and The Drum Pad. I participated in a fund raising event for the Mr Holland's Opus Foundation in Champaign Ill and did some shopping at Skins and Tins. I Often go to Dale's Drum in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, last week I bought some cases there. When I'm in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania I try to hit Drum World. During my time in DC I was a regular fixture at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center and Atomic Music. Two weeks ago I was in New York City and stopped at Steve Maxwell's drum shop twice! I'm temporarily in Richmond Virginia and have already shopped at Just Drums here.

We will be on the road for the next six months to a year across the US. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    And...

Am I the only weirdo who does this everywhere he goes?

Lol, that's great I bought my Sonors from Dales last year, sometime in the middle of this year I plan on getting a Tama kit from them as well. Who do you deal with when you go?

I have not been yet, but I just found the Birmingham Percussion Center you could try them if you make it to Alabama. I might check them out next weekend.

I deal with Dan at Dales. Tell him you (digitally) know Mike Lowe. Dan will take good care of you.

Jimmy that worked there passed away recently from a heart attack.

If I stop in Birmingham, I'll check out the Birmingham Percussion Center.

I ended up going there today, and it was cool, smaller then I thought it would be, I'm going to go a few more times before I say if I like it or not.

If you get over to the Midwest, stop in at Drum Headquarters in St. Louis and Explorer's Percussion in Kansas City.
