well you could always look into a tama starclassic. i bought a set of those, got a good deal, and they sounds wonderful. i would also look into maybe buying a used set that's been kept in good condition.
So... I'm about to sell my old drumset, and buying a new one... I have about 1250 dolars (1000€...i'm from Europe) to spend in the drums...
Any advice would help me a lot... I am thinkin in buying a Pearl beacuase it sounds really great.. Pearl Vision it is really really cool...and I would like to buy a Masters Diamond Burst but it doesnt cost 1250 dolars...it cost twice that!.
If you have any sugestion... POST IT.... I apreciate it!Thanks

i bought the yamaha tour custom, and i am satisfied with it 100% its a great kit
the problem is, just a regular 5 piece kit brand new costs $2250 =/
its still worth it all the way
too bad you`re in Europe, I could get you a very nice pearl Exr export, maple shells, black laqure finish, 22" bass 10-12" high tom, 14-16" floor toms snare and hardware, they look and sound every bit as much as a masters kit, the only difference I can see is the tom mounts and the badges.
This is new old stock, discontinued, $1,100cnd, thats about .10c US(LOL). Shipping would be the killer, I`d buy it but don`t have room for another kit.
out in the loft
I had a little less $ than you when I was looking for my current kit, and knew I wanted a pearl also. I believe that the best buy for that kind of money as far as pearl goes is the session custom. Thats what I got and they sound great! I am extremely happy with my choice, and I think the drums will cost you around $1100 so you may have a bit leftover to spend on hardware or whatever. Happy shopping!
Nothing wrong with the kit your looking at or the other kit's that were suggested. Just remember there are a ton of drum companies out there ( I'm not even including custom/boutique companies) I am particular to Mapex myself. A lot of the smaller companies make great drums at much better prices look into Taye, Peace and Cadeson just to name a few. T
