yeh i recon that is a pretty good idea, that way it will be easier to se how ling till you will get a reply due to the fact that someone is logged in or not.
Either I'm oblivious to the majority of things this forum contains, or this option is not yet available. It would be nice to know whether a recent poster is online or not by a notification other than the main page justified at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps just under their avatar or something of the sort? While this is not necessary, it will give some sense of life to the forum that may be a bit more instant and visible.

while its not the same, on the bottom of the main forum, you can scroll down and it tells you whos currently online. also on the top of a specific forum (like cymbals, dog house, etc.) it wil tell you which online users are currently browsing that specific forum
but either way, your idea is good
Yep. The reason I made the suggestion is because on both the individual forum channels and the forum index page, how well or fast it updates who is visiting that particular page is rather slow and/or unreliable.Originally Posted by SketcHyRollin564
There are in the 4th round of beta releases, and usually only do 3 betas, so I would guess before Christmas, I'll run tests on it first to make sure it's secure, then transfer over. I would guess Feb 2007.
Hmm... Id rather not. I know it can be a thing to help attract new members a bit easier, but I dont like it much.
I think this is what Ill do - Ill create some user titles that are other than the default, and eventually give prizes for whoever reaches X posts first.
Following that Ill make a "premium membership" type thing... possibly paid, possibly for most active members or something like that. Then the premium members would get special things like custom user titles, special forum access, larger inbox, etc.
